CIIIC has published the pre-announcement (PDF) for a new scheme aimed at developing Regional Immersive Experience (IX) Labs. This pre-announcement outlines the framework and possibilities of the scheme with which we ultimately create a strong and diverse network of IX facilities in the Netherlands. The goal is to support a wide range of locations with IX capabilities that have the ambition to expand and become more accessible. This not only strengthens the sector economically but also contributes to social impact.
What does it entail?
The scheme focuses on locations with existing IX facilities that want to expand or improve them so that they can make their services and expertise more widely available within the region and nationally. With a subsidy of up to €2.8 million per lab, aimed at new or additional IX activities and infrastructure, there is room for innovation, collaboration, and growth. Both individual parties and consortia can participate. The assessment of applications will be based on impact, a sustainable business model, team strength, and social embedding.
Thinking ahead and asking questions
CIIIC invites interested parties to think along about the scheme. On September 1, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, an online consultation meeting will be organized in which TNO will explain the process and participation criteria. This is the time to ask questions and provide feedback on the pre-announcement.
